This modest dwelling is a recent addition to a row of beach houses in Lee-Over-Sands, a remote hamlet community near Clacton-on-Sea, designed by Quinn architects.
The materials used throughout the build were chosen for their robust qualities and ability to withstand the seaside climate, as well as appearing attractive in their raw state.
The minimalist structure is clad in aluminium sheets, radiating a utilitarian but also modern approach. This material wraps around the whole upper level while the concrete base supports the structure and protects it against the elements, making for playful beach house for weekend use which frames the magnificent views of the nature reserve and the English Channel.
